Survivor Fiji Episode 2-8-2007

Survivor Cook Islands Winner Yul Kwon

This is the 14th installment of Survivor. Twenty people were cast for Survivor Fiji but only 19 actually made it to the Island. Apparently just a few hours before the new Survivor Fiji Cast was to set sail for their deserted desert isle, Melissa McNulty was overcome by panic attacks and quit the show.

With Melissa McNulty gone, their was one less tribe mate and one less bathing beauty eye candy candidate. Jeff Probst and Mark Burnett didn’t have a replace so they had to come up with some quick decisions.

The 19 Survivor Fiji cast members rowed their way to shore and exchange pleasantries once they reached dry land. Fortunately for us viewing at home they close captioned some of the comments otherwise we wouldn’t know what the hell some of the were saying.

From our first introduction to these media whores, several stood out. Erica Durousseau straight from the Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids and was sporting the 70’s Afro. This seasons Mr Myiga is Yau-Man Chan whose computer skills and professor at UC Berkley status may take him far in the survivor game. Then there was the Boston Guy who took the nickname “Rocky” because eof both is looks and harsh accent. “Yo Adrienne, throw me a coconut!” Then their was the black nerd Erble looking guy Anthony Robinson whose real life career was Expert witness locator. Geeze, that seems boring as hell.

After this motley crue got their bearing on the Survivor Fiji whose who they explored their new Little Lost Island and found water and a cave. For several hours all 19 were gathered around, spread out and looking extremely lost and confused. Dazed and Confused even.

”Where is Jeff Probst to tell us what to do?” Anthony Robinson in his best Erble impresonation stated.

Cue Jeff Probst.

Jeff Probst is seen flying over head in a single engine rock and roll killer airplane handing out the side. Don’t fall Jeff, other wise we would miss your witty repartee with the losers at tribal council. Jeff troughs out a wooden box attached to a parachute. Umm thanks Jeff!!

The men paddle out to retrieve the box but unfortunately they couldn’t figure out how to open the box.

Wooden box, Big man, Big Rock, Hit with Rock, Drop Rock on Box, Sam I Am I can open this Can (box).

Insert “Mr Myagi” Yau-Man Chan the 80 pound 80 year old looking Oriental to figure it out. After the hilarity of the men and their rocks, with box and socks. Confucius Chan knows physics. Take the weakest point and exploit it. Yau-Man grabbed the box and hit it on the corner. Low and Behold the Box pops open to reveal a set of instructions, maps et al.

The task for the 19 Survivor Fiji members was to Build a camp that included an Outhouse with toilet seat, a kitchen area and common shelter. Their were blue pints, instructions and even all map to were all the equipment could be located. No it was a Lowe’s, or HQ and their were no Day Labors hiding out from INS but the 19 seemed to be able to handle the task thanks to Art Vandelay Enterprises “I’m and Architect” Sylvia Kwan.

The Pit Boss Sylvia Kwan had then running assembling as setting up the new Have’s Camp. Too bad they didn’t finish putting on the roof on day one, because it it Rains in Fiji Islands at night.

Finally on day two all 19 Survivor Fiji member met up with Jeff Probst at the Immunity Challenge Location. Sylvia Kwan is tapped as the overall leader from day one and is given the task to divide the 19 members into two tribes. The Green tribe Moto, and the Orange tribe Ravu. Sylvia does an excellent job of dividing the teams. She separated all the women first and then the men. The tribes look almost equal in size, strength, ability, male, female, old and young. For all Sylvia Kwans excellent work she gets sent to Exile Island. She is safe from tribal council but has no food, water, shelter an must deal with the Exile Island Sea Snakes.

Jeff Probst explains the obstacle challenge in which their are once again like 20 things they must do to win the Immunity Idol. Team Moto wins the Challenge, the immunity idol for the day and the right to go back to the camp they just built. In addition they receive a dining set, a couch and some hammocks. I was waiting to see if Jeff Probst was going to include Mr Belvidere.

Meanwhile on Exile island Sylvia Kwan find the first clue to the hidden immunity idol, that states the Hidden Immunity idol is Hidden around their camp and not on Exile Island. Syliva will Join the RAVU tribe to even out the numbers and make up for the Melissa McQuittes removal from the game.

The Losers Ravu were sent to another location with only water and a machete. No Flint for fire nothing. Welcome to the Have Not’s side of the island. Kinda Like ABC’s Lost with the plane crash guys and “the Others”. Ravu must also go to tribal council.

At tribal council the votes were pretty evenly split. Yau-Man, Rita Verros, Mookie Lee and Jessica each received votes. However Jessica “eye candy” deBen had 4 votes and was voted off Survivor Fiji.
